Study Buddy: Self-Study Week Update

This week’s Security+ progress? Let’s just say… minimal.

I had all the best intentions, but life had other plans. The weekend was a write-off after spending all of it out in the garden building a lean-to on the back of the house (which somehow involved more heavy lifting than expected). By the time Monday rolled around, I was off on a completely new product training course for work—so now I’m in a hotel room trying to wrap my head around a new vehicle range and revise cybersecurity concepts.

Multitasking at its most chaotic: I’ve got Professor Messer playing on YouTube, trying to refresh my memory on previous topics, but honestly… my brain’s having none of it.

In fact, I think my body’s developed its own cyber defence mechanisms.
My eyes have installed a firewall, and my brain has enabled intrusion detection, actively filtering out anything educational. Poor Professor Messer is basically being flagged as a persistent threat—and blocked on sight.

Hopefully once this week calms down, I can reboot the system (aka, get some sleep and find time to study properly).

Until then, I’ll keep stumbling through cybersecurity… because knowledge is power—once I can convince my brain to let it in!

If like me you are studying for the CompTIA Security + then check out Professor Messer on YouTube
