CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 – Lessons 4–6 Recap
This week didn’t go quite to plan, I somehow completely missed the Study Buddy session. Not sure how I managed it, but it totally slipped my mind. That said, I didn’t let the week go to waste. I used the time to focus on self-study, it’s actually been a productive one.
Back into Lessons 4–6: IAM, Networks & Cloud Stuff
I went back over Lessons 4 to 6 using the CompTIA Learning Portal, and things are starting to feel a bit more familiar. Revisiting topics like Identity and Access Management, Enterprise Network Architecture, and Secure Cloud Design gave me a chance to let it all sink in at my own pace.
One thing I’ve discovered and loved on the CompTIA portal? The games. Being able to test my knowledge through interactive activities makes learning fun—plus, trying to beat my previous scores is a solid motivator. Who knew cybersecurity could get competitive?
Professor Messer to the Rescue
I’ve also been watching the Professor Messer YouTube series for Security+ SY0-701.
Here’s the playlist I’ve been working through:
Professor Messer – SY0-701 Videos
His teaching style really works for me. It breaks down tough topics into bite-sized, relatable explanations—great for when my brain feels fried and I need a clear voice to walk me through the madness.
Even though I missed the group session, I’m staying on track.
